BOSTON, April 11 (UPI) -- Steady rain and cold temperatures Friday forced postponement of the scheduled game between the Baltimore Orioles and Boston Red Sox.
It was been rescheduled as part of a day-night doubleheader on Saturday. The Boston home opener will be at 1:05 p.m. EDT and the night game will be at 7:05 p.m. EDT.

Fans with ponchos and umbrellas were treated to an extravagant ceremony on Friday. Lou Rawls sang the national anthem and Ray Charles performed "America the Beautiful" on a baby grand piano in front of the Red Sox dugout.
Each team was introduced to the crowd as light rain began to fall and the game never got underway.
