ST, PETERSBURG, Fla., April 9 (UPI) -- Rocco Baldelli snapped a tie in the seventh inning with an RBI triple and Carl Crawford added a pair of hits as the Tampa Bay Devil Rays rallied yet again for a 10-7 victory over the Baltimore Orioles Wednesday night.
Tampa Bay has one of the youngest teams in the game, including Baldelli, a rookie, and Crawford, who saw some time in the second half of last season. Both players have hit safely in all nine games for the Devil Rays.
With the game tied, 7-7, Rey Ordonez opened the seventh inning with an infield hit off Baltimore reliever Willis Roberts (0-1).
After Crawford grounded out, Baldelli came through with a triple into the left-center field gap. After B.J. Ryan relieved, Aubrey Huff added an RBI single for a 9-7 advantage. Crawford stroked an RBI single in the eighth inning for the game's final run.
Tampa Bay, which rallied from a 4-0 deficit, got stellar work
from its bullpen.
