Toronto 12, Tampa Bay 12 (9 inn.)

DUNEDIN, Fla., March 29 (UPI) -- Marlon Anderson homered and knocked in four runs Saturday as the Tampa Bay Devil Rays and Toronto Blue Jays played to a 12-12 tie in a exhibition game called after nine innings.

Damian Rolls added three hits and Brent Abernathy drove in two runs for the Devil Rays, who squandered an 8-2 lead. Javier Valentin also homered for Tampa Bay, which had 18 hits.

Devil Rays starter Nick Bierbrodt was ripped for eight runs and seven hits in three innings.

Greg Myers went three for three with three RBI and Frank Catalanotto knocked in two runs for Toronto, which had 15 hits.

Former Devil Ray Tanyon Sturtze was torched for nine runs and 12 hits in four innings.

Tampa Bay opens the season at home Monday against Boston while Toronto hosts the New York Yankees.
