FORT MYERS, Fla., March 13 (UPI) -- Jacque Jones went three for three and scored twice and Justin Morneau homered Thursday as a split squad of Minnesota Twins downed the Detroit Tigers, 6-2.

Jones singled twice and doubled and Morneau belted a two-run shot off reliever Fernando Rodney in the eighth to provide the final margin.

Cristian Guzman stroked two doubles and scored twice and Luis Rivas drove in a run for the Twins, who wiped out a 2-1 deficit with a three-run fifth inning.

Mike Fetters pitched two scoreless innings in relief of starter Rick Reed for the win. Reed allowed two runs and four hits in four innings with two walks and five strikeouts.

Andres Torres collected three hits and Eric Munson homered for Detroit.

Starter Andy Van Hekken took the loss, giving up four runs -- one earned -- and six hits in 4 2/3 innings.
