Busch qualifying rained out

DARLINGTON, S.C., March 13 (UPI) -- For the second time in as many races, rain forced cancellation of a NASCAR Busch Series qualifying event Thursday.

The qualifying session for the DarlingtonRaceway.com 200 was called off following a steady rain. Two weeks ago in Las Vegas, the starting lineup also was based on 2002 owner points.

Stanton Barrett will start from the pole again thanks to the performance of owner Jack Roush, who captured the 2002 series title behind driver Greg Biffle. Biffle has since moved on to the Winston Cup series.

Barrett is a Hollywood stuntman when not behind the wheel. Driving a Ford Taurus, he is in his first year with Roush Racing.

Defending champion here Jason Keller starts next to Barrett on the front row, also in a Ford. But the next two rows consist of Chevrolet Monte Carlos.

Johnny Sauter and Scott Wimmer make up the second row, with Mike Bliss and Brian Vickers in the fifth and sixth positions, respectively. Bliss was last year's Craftsman Truck series champion.
