PHOENIX, March 9 (UPI) -- Mark Prior tossed four scoreless innings and Hee Seop Choi drove in two runs Sunday as the Chicago Cubs posted an 8-6 victory over the Oakland Athletics in a game of split squads.
Prior allowed five hits and one walk while striking out three en route to his first victory of spring training. He never trailed after the Cubs scored four runs in their first at bat.

Chicago jumped on Oakland starter Mark Mulder, who surrendered four runs, seven hits and three walks in four innings.
Oakland's Frank Menechino had four hits and Ron Gant went three for three. Miguel Tejada and Mitch Melusky drove in two runs apiece for the Athletics.
