Baltimore 6, Los Angeles 2

VERO BEACH, Fla., March 6 (UPI) -- Jose Leon clubbed a two-run triple and Luis Matos added a two-run homer in a five-run ninth inning Thursday that lifted the Baltimore Orioles to a 6-2 victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers.

All five runs came off loser Bill Simas, who was the last of five relievers that followed starter Kaz Ishii.

Ishii gave up a run and a hit in two innings with two walks and two strikeouts.

Kevin Brown looked strong in his second appearance of spring training, giving up two hits and fanning three in two scoreless frames for Los Angeles.

Orioles' starter Rodrigo Lopez tossed three scoreless innings, yielding two singles and recording a strikeout.

Pinch-hitter Chin-Feng Chen homered and Fred McGriff and James Loney had two hits apiece for the Dodgers, who committed three errors.
