Pittsburgh 11, Tampa Bay 8

BRADENTON, Fla., March 5 (UPI) -- Reggie Sanders, Kevin Young andJ.J. Davis all hit sixth-inning homers off reliever Bob Wells Wednesday as the Pittsburgh Pirates clouted five home runs to defeat the Tampa Bay Devil Rays, 11-8, in the Grapefruit League.

Brian Giles homered and drove in three runs and Carlos Rivera also went deep for the Pirates, who recorded 15 hits.

Josh Fogg struck out three over three hitless relief innings for the victory, while Mike Williams got the save with a perfect ninth.

Tampa Bay Starter Nick Bierbrodt tossed two perfect innings before giving way to a shaky relief corps.

Loser Matt Perisho was tagged for three runs and three hits in an inning of relief.

Lee Stevens homered and drove in three runs for Tampa Bay.
