TUCSON, March 5 (UPI) -- Doug DeVore hit a two-run homer off R.D. Spiehs with two out in the ninth inning Wednesday to lift the Arizona Diamondbacks to a 4-2 Cactus League victory over the San Francisco Giants.

Spiehs pitched a scoreless eighth inning and retired the first two batters in the ninth before walking Matt Kata. DeVore followed by driving his first homer of the spring over the right-field wall to end the game.

Felix Jose hit a solo homer and Quentin McCracken had two hits for the Diamondbacks. Arizona starter Stephen Randolph allowed just one run in five innings and Jose Valverde recorded the win after pitching a hitless ninth.

Kurt Ainsworth pitched three scoreless innings and Rich Aurilia and Ray Durham each had two hits for the Giants.
