BRADENTON, Fla., March 3 (UPI) -- Aramis Ramirez homered and drove in three runs and Reggie Sanders hit a homer in his debut for the Pittsburgh Pirates, who rolled Monday to a 14-3 victory over the Minnesota Twins in a Grapefruit League contest.

Ramirez sparked a four-run fourth inning with an RBI single and hit a two-run homer to highlight a fifth-run fifth. Sanders, who signed with the Pirates in late February, added a two-run blast in the fifth for a 9-1 cushion.

Matt Herges (1-0) pitched two hitless innings for the victory as Pittsburgh allowed just three hits and two walks.

Minnesota's Brad Thomas (0-2) was shelled for four runs and six hits in two innings.

Todd Sears and Lew Ford hit solo homers for the Twins.
