Joseph suspended at Oregon

EUGENE, Ore., Feb. 25 (UPI) -- Oregon guard Andre Joseph has been suspended one game for contact detrimental to the team.

Coach Ernie Kent made the announcement Tuesday after Joseph refused to enter the game in the second half of Oregon's loss at Washington on Saturday. Joseph got into a heated argument with assistant John Cooper during a timeout with about 12 minutes left.

He is averaging 10.1 points and 3.4 rebounds per contest, but will sit out Thursday's Pac-10 home game against Southern California.

The Ducks are 18-7 overall and 8-6 in the Pac-10. They likely need at least 20 wins to secure a berth in the NCAA Tournament.
