St. Louis 3, Buffalo 2

BUFFALO, N.Y., Feb. 11 (UPI) -- St. Louis defenseman Jeff Finley scored his first goal in more than two years with 4:59 remaining Tuesday night to give the Blues a 3-2 victory over the Buffalo Sabres.

Goalless in 174 games since Nov. 25, 2000, Finley completed St. Louis' league-leading 19th come-from-behind win by depositing the rebound of rookie Justin Papineau's shot past out-of-position goaltender Martin Biron.

The victory was the Blues' seventh straight over Buffalo and extended their overall unbeaten streak to six games.

Keith Tkachuk stretched his goal-scoring streak to six contests with a power-play tally and Steve Martins took advantage of a Sabres' turnover for St. Louis, which improved to 13-2-2-2 against Eastern Conference opponents.

Adam Mair and Tim Connolly tallied for the Sabres, who have lost seven straight and fell to 0-4-2 in their last six home games with the Blues.
