Duke 80, Butler 60

DURHAM, N.C., Jan. 30 (UPI) -- Dahntay Jones scored 25 points and freshman Shavlik Randolph added a season-high 24 and 10 rebounds Thursday night as the Duke Blue Devils foughtoff the Butler Bulldogs, 80-60.

The Blue Devils (14-2) scored the final six points of the first half and the first six of the second period to take a 38-20 advantage on a jumper by Randolph at the 18:45 mark.

Butler (16-3) had gone 5-3 in the past two seasons against ranked foes, but could find no answer for Jones and Randolph, who combined to shoot 19 of 26 from the field.

Darnell Archey scored 14 points while Brandon Miller and Joel Cornette each collected 12 for Butler.
