Dante Hall receives contract extension

Financial terms were not disclosed for Hall, a restricted free agent.

The 5-8 Hall will become just the second Kansas City kick returner to appear in the Pro Bowl, joining J.T. Smith (1980). Hall established Chiefs' records this season with 57 kickoffs for 1,354 yards, returning one for a touchdown.

He also returned 29 punts for 390 yards and two touchdowns and caught 20 passes for 322 yards with three scores.

"We are very glad to consummate this agreement with Dante," Chiefs president Carl Peterson said. "He is very deserving of this extension and his Pro Bowl invitation speaks very highly to that fact. Dante has done everything we have asked of him, including going to NFL Europe to learn how to be a wide receiver and an outstanding returner."

Hall returned both a kickoff and a punt for a touchdown in a December win over St. Louis, becoming the first player in Chiefs' history to accomplish the feat.
