Denis Hamel scored his first goal of the season 7:36 into the third period for the Sabres, who filed for bankruptcy Monday. They reportedly received $10 million in credit before taking the ice at the Xcel Energy Center.

Dwayne Roloson made 26 saves for the Wild, who lost for the fourth time in five games.

Minnesota's best chance to tie came midway through the third period when star winger Marian Gaborik hit the crossbar with a deflected slap shot from the top of the right faceoff circle.

Gaborik went without a goal for the seventh straight game. He is tied for fifth in the league with 23.
