Minnesota 113, Chicago 100

CHICAGO, Dec. 27 (UPI) -- Kevin Garnett had his third triple-double of the season Friday night to lead the Minnesota Timberwolves to their seventh straight win over the Chicago Bulls, 113-100.

Garnett collected 25 points, 15 rebounds and 10 assists and Rasho Nesterovic and Troy Hudson added 23 points apiece.

Chicago climbed within 62-60 just under four minutes into the third quarter before Garnett scored nine points to fuel a 23-2 run. The Timberwolves' 23-point lead was their biggest of the game as they outscored the Bulls in the period, 31-21.

Nesterovic also had nine points in the third quarter, during which Troy Hudson chipped in seven.

Chicago got to 85-69 heading to the final period, but Minnesota restored a 23-point cushion and the Bulls got no closer than 11 points the rest of the way.

Jalen Rose scored 22 points and Jamal Crawford added a career-high 20 off the bench for Chicago, which has not beaten the Timberwolves since April 3, 1998.
