OMAHA, Dec. 15 (UPI) -- Kyle Korver scored 20 points and Joe Dabbert had nine of his career-high 17 in a decisive early stretch Saturday night as No. 24 Creighton remained unbeaten with a 101-72 victory over Tennessee Tech.
The Bluejays are off to their best start since winning the first nine games of the 1999-2000 season. They have matched the ninth best start in school history in easy fashion, posting six of their eight victories by double figures.
Creighton shot 56 percent from the floor, including nine of 19 three-pointers. Korver, who had a career-high seven assists, made seven of 10 shots overall and six of nine from beyond the arc.
Dabbert had a dunk, a layup, two free throws and a three-point play in the opening nine minutes as Creighton (7-0) jumped to a 24-5 lead and never looked back.
Brody Deren scored four of his 12 points to start the scoring and Korver hti a pair of three-pointers during the game-opening burst for the Bluejays, who had a 50-27 cushion at halftime.
