SOUTH BEND, Ind., Dec. 14 (UPI) -- Matt Carroll scored a career-high 33 points Saturday night as the 15th-ranked Notre Dame Fighting Irish rolled over DePaul, 102-71, for their fifth straight victory.
Carroll was 10 of 14 from the field and made 12 of 13 foul shots for Notre Dame, which shot 60 percent from the field and 91 percent from the line.
Making their first appearance since beating Maryland and Texas last weekend in the BB&T Classic, the Fighting Irish (9-1) remained in high gear, surpassing the century mark for the first time this season.
Notre Dame, which had beaten three straight top-10 opponents for the first time in school history, has surpassed 90 points in four of its last five contests.
Chris Thomas added 22 points and handed out nine assists for the Fighting Irish. He converted all nine foul shots.
