Seattle 100, Miami 71

SEATTLE, Dec. 8 (UPI) -- Vladimir Radmanovic nearly outscored the Miami Heat by himself in the fourth quarter Saturday night as the Seattle SuperSonics posted a 100-71 victory.

Radmanovic scored all 19 of his points during the final 12 minutes, while the Heat managed 20. He was on pace to outscore the Heat in the period before Caron Butler hit a short jump shot with 1:34 left for Miami's final points. Radmonovic was perfect on five fourth-quarter 3-point attempts.

The game was decided early as Seattle outscored Miami, 34-12, in the first quarter.

The Heat trailed by as many as 24 points, mirroring their effort on Friday in Portland, when they trailed by as many as 28 and scored only 11 points in the first quarter.

Rookie Rasual Butler was one of the few bright spots for Miami off the bench. He scored a season-high 19 points to lead the Heat, who had three bench players in double figures.

Caron Butler was the only Miami starter in double figures as Eddie Jones scored under 10 for the third consecutive game, all losses.

Gary Payton had his 13th double-double of the season, posting 18 points and 11 assists for Seattle. Desmond Mason added 14 points and seven boards for the Sonics.

It was an ugly affiar, with eight technical fouls and a shoving match between Miami's Travis Best and Seattle's Rashard Lewis in the fourth quarter. Miami center Vladimir Stepania, who picked up two technicals, was the only player ejected.
