Chicago 3, Tampa Bay 1

CHICAGO, Dec. 8 (UPI) -- Theo Fleury scored the go-ahead goal with 4:57 remaining Sunday night as the Chicago Blackhawks extended their unbeaten streak against the Tampa Bay Lightning to nine games with a 3-1 triumph.

Fleury missed the first 25 games of the season after being suspended for violating the league's substance abuse policy. He scored in his return in Friday's loss to Anaheim and proved to be the difference against the Lightning.

Phil Housley's slap shot from just inside the blue line was stopped by Nikolai Khabibulin, but Fleury was left unchecked in front of the net and put back the rebound for a 2-1 lead.

Igor Korolev added an empty-net goal with 44 seconds left as the Blackhawks improved to 7

2 in their last nine meetings with the Lightning.

Martin St. Louis had the only goal for Tampa Bay, which lost for the sixth time in seven games.
