Indiana 84, North Texas 58

BLOOMINGTON, Ind., Dec. 1 (UPI) -- Jermaine Green and Tom Coverdale each scored 17 points Sunday as No. 20 Indiana posted an 84-58 victory over North Texas in its home opener.

Jeffrey Newton added 15 as Indiana won for the 13th time in its last 14 home openers.

The Hoosiers (4-0), who have won 24 of their last 26 games at Assembly Hall, are off to their third 4-0 start in the last five years.

The victory also was the 50th of coach Mike Davis' career at Indiana.

Bracey Wright led North Texas (1-2) with 21 points and Chris Davis contributed 12. The Mean Green hung tough for a half, trailing by just six points, before being outscored, 51-31, in the second half.
