Miami 97, Milwaukee 93

MILWAUKEE, Nov. 19 (UPI) -- Eddie Jones scored 22 points and rookie Caron Butler added 20 as the Miami Heat snapped a five-game losing streak Tuesday night by bolting to an early lead and hanging on for a 97-93 triumph over the Milwaukee Bucks.

Miami's offense, which has struggled much of the season, got in gear against Milwaukee's porous defense. Travis Best added 19, Malik Allen 16 and 13 rebounds and reserve Vladimir Stepania chipped in nine and 15.

Milwaukee, which lost for the first time in five home games, got 24 points from Ray Allen, but allowed Miami to score a season-high 56 points in the first half and was forced to try and dig out the final 24 minutes.
