Chicago 3, Tampa Bay 2 (OT)

TAMPA, Fla., Nov. 9 (UPI) -- Igor Korolev scored his second goal of the night and season with 2:23 left in overtime Saturday night as the Chicago Blackhawks won their third straight game, 3-2 over the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Held without a goal in his first 13 games, Korolev opened the scoring 5:06 into the first period, then won the game in overtime.

The Blackhawks had just killed a two-man power play when Korolev took advantage of a defensive miscue, skating in with Alexei Zhamnov on a two on none and putting a backhander around Nikolai Khabibulin.

While Korolev took care of the offense, Jocelyn Thibault was sensational in making 37 saves. His best came with two minutes left in regulation when he dove right to glove defenseman Dan Boyle's wrist shot headed toward a vacant net.

Defenseman Boris Mironov also scored for Chicago, which has won six of its last eight games (6-2-0) and is unbeaten in eight against Tampa Bay (6

2).

After a franchise-best 7-1-2 start, the Lightning have lost four of five.
