Florida 3, Dallas 2 (OT)

DALLAS, Oct. 30 (UPI) -- Valeri Bure capitalized on the second big miscue of the game by Dallas goaltender Marty Turco 3:21 into overtime Wednesday night to give the Florida Panthers a 3-2 victory over the Dallas Stars.

After failing to register a shot on goal since Ivan Novoseltsev's tally with 6:38 remaining in the second period, Florida withstood pressure from the Stars before breaking out of their zone.

Bure had the puck knocked away at the Dallas blue line but followed it into the right corner, when Turco came out of his net to make a play.

Beating the Dallas goaltender to the puck, Bure skated around the net and stuffed it inside the left goalpost for his second goal of the season, snapping the Panthers' three-game winless streak and the Stars' four-game run at home.

Turco committed a similar error in the first period, having his clearing attempt from behind the net intercepted by Bure. The younger brother of New York Rangers superstar Pavel Bure passed in front to Kristian Huselius, who deposited it into the open net at 3:42 to give the Panthers a 1-0 lead.

Jani Hurme kept Florida in the game by stopping 40 shots, including five in the extra session.
