St. Louis 4, Calgary 3 (OT)

CALGARY, Alberta, Oct. 26 (UPI) -- Rookie Eric Boguniecki scored the game-winning goal with 25 seconds remaining in overtime Saturday night as the St. Louis Blues extended their winning streak to five games with a 4-3 victory over the Calgary Flames.

Just over a minute earlier, Keith Tkachuk nearly won the game with a slap shot that was stopped by Flames goaltender Roman Turek.

But working a give-and-go with rookie defenseman Barret Jackman along the right side, Boguniecki put a soft shot from low slot through Turek's pads for his third career goal.

In six games with the Blues this season, the 27-year-old right wing has three goals and three assists.

Boguniecki, who had played just 13 career NHL games before this season, also assisted on Cory Stillman's second goal of the game with 14:26 remaining, which gave St. Louis a 3-2 lead.
