Kansas St. 44, Baylor 10

WACO, Texas, Oct. 26 (UPI) -- Darren Sproles ran for 124 yards and one touchdown and Ell Roberson tacked on 90 ground yards Saturday as No. 21 Kansas State ran past Big 12 foe Baylor, 44-10.

Last week, the Wildcats fell to Texas at home, 17-14, when Jared Brite's attempted game-tying 36-yard field goal was blocked with seven seconds remaining.

Though the Wildcats manhandled the Bears on the ground, outgaining them 279 to minus-37, their defense and special teams also came up big, with each unit scoring a touchdown.

Safety Jesse Tetuan put Kansas State ahead for good, 10-3, on a 34-yard interception return for a touchdown on a pass by Josh Zachry with 4:08 to play in the first half. Cornerback Randy Jordan returned a blocked field-goal attempt by Daniel Andino 93 yards 5:35 into the third quarter to extend the Wildcats' advantage to 27-3.

Kansas State (6-2, 2-2 Big 12 North) improved to 4-0 all-time against Baylor (3-5, 1-3 South), including 3-0 in Big 12 play.

Zachry completed 17 of 24 passes for 248 yards and one interception and backup Greg Cicero was seven of 13 for 90 yards and one interception and ran for one score.
