MInnesota 127, Chicago 101

MINNEAPOLIS, Oct. 15 (UPI) -- Kevin Garnett nearly had a triple-double Tuesday night as the Minnesota Timberwolves blew out the Chicago Bulls in a preseason contest, 127-101.

Garnett had 27 points, eight rebounds and nine assists for the Timberwolves, who jumped out to a 35-22 lead after one quarter and never were threatened thereafter.

Troy Hudson, a free agent pickup from Orlando, added 15 points and six assists and Marc Jackson 14 and nine rebounds in the romp.

Jamal Crawford paced Chicago with 20 points, including 10 of the Bulls' 31 in the fourth quarter. Rookie Jay Williams - the No. 2 overall draft pick - added 18 points and second-year center Eddy Curry 17 for Chicago.
