Oregon 31, UCLA 30

PASADENA, Calif., Oct. 12 (UPI) -- Jason Fife found Keenan Howry for the go-ahead 74-yard touchdown pass on the opening play of the fourth quarter Saturday as seventh-ranked Oregon held off 25th-ranked UCLA, 31-30.

The Ducks (6-0, 2-0 Pac-10) extended their winning streak to a school-record 11 games, the nation's second-longest run behind the 28 straight won by defending national champion Miami.

Onterrio Smith broke the 1971 school record of Bobby Moore -- now known as Ahmad Rashad -- with his sixth straight 100-yard rushing game. Smith gained 152 yards on 25 carries as Oregon won its seventh straight road game.

Jared Siegel kicked a Pac-10 record-tying 59-yard field goal as time expired in the first half to give Oregon a 24-21 lead. He matched the mark of Stanford's Rod Garcia, which was established in 1973.

Craig Bragg had the second best receiving performance in UCLA history. He tallied 230 yards on nine catches with three touchdowns. Only J.J. Stokes registered more yards in a game with 263.

Bragg caught a 46-yard touchdown pass midway through the third quarter and gave the Bruins (4-2, 1-1) a 30-24 advantage.
