Minnesota 4, Calgary 3

CALGARY, Alberta, Sept. 23 (UPI) -- Sergei Zholtok scored a pair of third-period goals to complete a hat trick and rally the Minnesota Wild Monday night to a 4-3 preseason victory over the Calgary Flames.

Zholtok, who scored 19 goals last season, got the game-winner with seven seconds left after a costly turnover by Calgary defenseman Toni Lydman. Tony Virta picked up the loose puck around the blue line and passed to Jim Dowd, who fed Zholtok for his third goal of the game.

Just over six minutes earlier, Zholtok tied it with a power-play goal, also assisted by Dowd.

Zholtok's first goal came with three seconds left in the first period and got the Wild within 2-1 although they were outshot, 12-4.

Matthew Lombardi, Scott Nichol and Jeff Shantz scored for the Flames, who again rested the top line of Jarome Iginla, Craig Conroy and Dean McAmmond.

Former Flame Dwayne Roloson, who is battling Manny Fernandez for the starting job with Minnesota, made 19 saves.
