Bowling Green 51, Missouri 28

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio, Sept. 14 (UPI) -- Wide receiver Cole Magner threw two passes Saturday night and completed them both for touchdowns, igniting Bowling Green to a 51-28 upset of Missouri.

Magner opened the scoring with a 34-yard strike to quarterback Josh Harris just 1:38 into the game, then tossed a 30-yard touchdown pass to fellow wide receiver Robert Redd in the third quarter.

Harris completed 16 of 31 passes for 311 yards with an interception while Redd caught 10 passes for 209 yards. James Hawkins had five receptions for 112 yards.

Bowling Green also featured an effective ground game, rushing for 202 yards on 50 carries. Joe Alls gained 119 yards on 16 attempts.

The Falcons (2-0) have won four straight games dating to last season, their longest winning streak since a nine-game run in 1994.

Bowling Green has posted consecutive 2-0 starts for the first time since 1975-76.

Brad Smith was 28 of 50 for 334 yards, two touchdowns and an interception for the Tigers (2-1), who opened with wins over Illinois and Ball State.

Bowling Green has won three of four all-time meetings with Missouri.
