Indians activate OF Bradley

CLEVELAND, Aug. 30 (UPI) -- The Cleveland Indians Friday activated centerfielder Milton Bradley from the 15-day disabled list and optioned rookie outfielder Coco Crisp to Triple-A Buffalo of the International League.

Bradley underwent an emergency appendectomy on Aug. 14 at St. Anthony's Hospital in St. Petersburg, Fla. He had stomach pains and was scratched from the lineup in a game against the Tampa Bay Devil Rays the previous day. Bradley started a rehabilitation assignment with Double-A Akron of the Eastern League on Tuesday and went 3-for-11 in three games.

The 23-year-old Crisp batted .246 with four RBI in 14 games with the Indians. He was hitting .310 with 10 home runs and 51 RBI in 96 games in the minor leagues before he was recalled.

Crisp was acquired in the deal that sent veteran lefthander Chuck Finley to the St. Louis Cardinals on July 19.
