Anaheim 11, Chicago White Sox 2

CHICAGO, Aug. 6 (UPI) -- Tim Salmon registered his sixth career grand slam Tuesday night when he highlighted a six-run fourth inning, as the Anaheim Angels hammered the Chicago White Sox, 11-2.

The Angels' all-time home run leader, Salmon hit his first grand slam since June 20, 2000 against Kansas City. The right fielder went 2-for-4 with a season-high five RBI as Anaheim won for the sixth time in seven meetings with Chicago this season.

Brad Fullmer had a solo shot in the second off Dan Wright (7-10) as the Angels improved to 25-12 against American League Central Division opponents this season.

Anaheim ace Jarrod Washburn (14-3) won for the 14th time in his last 15 decisions. The lefthander yielded two runs and six hits in six innings, striking out two and walking two.
