ORLANDO, Fla., Aug. 1 (UPI) -- Shannon Johnson hit a running jumper with four-tenths of a second left Thursday night as the Orlando Miracle rallied from a 12-point deficit in the second half to post a 65-63 triumph over the Charlotte Sting.
Johnson scored 16 points to lead the Miracle, who won for the first time in three meetings with the Sting this season.
Orlando has won three in a row to rebound from a three-game slide.
The Miracle trailed, 52-40, midway through the second half before Katie Douglas scored eight of her 11 points in an 18-4 run over the next six minutes. Johnson converted a pair of free throws with 4:36 remaining to give the Miracle a 58-56 lead.
There were 24 seconds remaining when Johnson scored to give Orlando a 63-60 advantage. Charlotte Smith answered with a three-pointer to knot the contest with 12 seconds to go.
Orlando (13-13) moved just one game behind Charlotte (14-14) for third place in the Eastern Conference.
Allison Feaster scored 14 points for the Sting, who have lost four of their last five games.
