Clymer had career highs of 14 goals and 20 assists in 81 games last season, his third in the NHL. Originally a defenseman, he has 21 goals and 22 assists in 164 career games.

"Ben Clymer had a very good season for us last year, but we need him to elevate his game and play with more consistency night in and night out," Lightning general Manager Jay Feaster said.

Roy was acquired in a trade with Ottawa on March 15 and collected a goal and an assist in nine games. His season totals were seven goals and nine assists in 65 games.

In three NHL seasons, Roy has 14 goals and 19 assists in 215 games.
