Blues re-sign Cory Stillman

ST. LOUIS, July 31 (UPI) -- The St. Louis Blues Wednesday re-signed left wing Cory Stillman and four other players.

Stillman, 28, was third on the team with 23 goals and sixth with 46 points. He recorded his third career hat trick on Jan. 5 against Dallas and tied for third on the Blues with four game-winning goals.

Acquired from Calgary in March 2001, Stillman has 135 goals and 152 assists in 485 NHL games.

Also re-signing Wednesday were center Daniel Tkaczuk, right wing Marc Brown, defenseman Dale Clarke and goaltender Cody Rudkowsky.

A former first-round draft pick, the 23-year-old Tkaczuk also was acquired from Calgary. He spent most of last season with Worcester of the American Hockey League, where he had 10 goals and 27 assists in 75 games.

Brown, 23, recorded career highs in all offensive categories for Worcester last season with 30 goald and 25 assists in 74 games.

Clarke, 24, made his NHL debut in February 2001 but spent most of the last two seasons with Worcester.

Rudkowsky, 24, split last season between Worcester and Peoria of the East Coast Hockey League. In 21 games in the AHL, he was 6-10-2 with a 2.71 goals-against average.
