SEATTLE, July 24 (UPI) -- John Olerud's two-run double snapped an eighth-inning tie and Ichiro Suzuki added two hits, including a home run, as the Seattle Mariners snapped a three-game losing streak with a 4-1 triumph over the Texas Rangers Tuesday night.

Seattle's 24th win in 30 games against Texas was a team effort as starter Jamie Moyer tossed seven superb innings. After Arthur Rhodes (6-2) struck out two in a scoreless eighth, the Mariners rallied against a trio of Texas relievers.

Olerud had a two-base hit that scored Mike Cameron and Jeff Cirillo. Bret Boone added a single that scored Olerud for a 4-1 lead.

Kazuhiro Sasaki worked around a leadoff single in the ninth and notched his 25th save in 29 opportunities.

The win marked the first time in seven tries this season that Seattle has won the opening game of a homestand.

Texas reliever Jay Powell (2-2), who started the eighth, wastagged for a pair of unearned runs.
