BALTIMORE, July 12 (UPI) -- Tim Hudson tossed seven scoreless innings and Miguel Tejada drove in the game's only run Friday night, giving the Oakland Athletics a 1-0 win over the Baltimore Orioles.

The 26-year-old Hudson (7-7) allowed eight hits with a walk and two strikeouts to win for the fourth time in his last five decisions. Over his last three starts, Hudson is 2-0, allowing just one earned run in 23 innings.

Tejada recorded his team-leading 61st RBI in the first inning, driving in Mark Ellis with a single to center.

The one-run decision was the eighth in the last nine contests for Oakland, which improved to 18-6 in such games this season.

Billy Koch pitched a perfect ninth, striking out a pair to earn his 22nd save.

Baltimore starter Jason Johnson (3-6) was the hard-luck loser, surrendering one run and six hits in seven innings while walking four and striking out a career-high six.
