MIAMI, July 7 (UPI) -- Reserve Betty Lennox scored 13 of her season high-tying 19 points after halftime Sunday to lead the Miami Sol to a 65-61, overtime win over the Seattle Storm.
Lennox also grabbed six rebounds and Sheri Sam added 13 points and seven assists as Miami won for the fourth time in five games and improved to 4-0 all time against Seattle.
Lauren Jackson had 13 points and tied her season high with 11 rebounds for Seattle, which led by as many as 11 points in the second half before suffering its second loss in three games.
Kamila Vodichkova and Michelle Marciniak each scored 11 points for the Storm, who did not score in the second half after rookie Sue Bird's free throw gave them a 53-45 lead with 5:14 remaining.
After Bird's free throw, Sam made a pair of free throws with five minutes remaining. Sam also made two free throws with 4:41 left and, after a turnover by Marciniak, she hit a 19-footer to pull the Sol within 53-51.
Sam connected on a 19-footer to tie the game with 3:25 to go and neither team scored until overtime.
The scoring troubles continued in the extra session until Pollyanna Johns Kimbrough, who had 10 points and eight rebounds, made a follow shot to give the Sol a 55-53 edge with 2:49 to play. Johns Limbrough pushed the lead to 57-53 with a layup with 1:48 left.
Marcianiak made one of two free throws with 1:09 remaining and, after a turnover by Debbie Black, Bird had a layup to pull the Storm within 57-56 nine seconds later. But the Storm got no closer as Black hit an 18-footer to make it 59-56 with 37 seconds left.
Bird handed out 11 assists, but missed 10 of 12 shots.
