CLEVELAND, July 5 (UPI) -- Lauren Jackson scored 11 of her 19 points during a decisive second-half run Friday night as the Seattle Storm rallied for a 73-65 victory over the Cleveland Rockers, snapping a four-game road losing streak.
The Storm trailed, 55-42, with 11:20 remaining when Jackson spearheaded a 21-8 surge.
She made four consecutive jumpers to slice the deficit to 57-48, then capped the burst with a three-pointer and a jumper that forged a 63-63 deadlock with 3:12 to play.
The Rockers briefly regained the lead after Ann Wauters' jumper made it 65-63 with 2:55 left. But they missed several shots down the stretch and the Storm made six free throws to seal their first-ever win against the Rockers.
Jackson was aided by rookie Sue Bird, who contributed 16 points and 12 assists.
Penny Taylor had 16 points to pace Cleveland. She made six of eight shots from the field but was held scoreless over the final 11:49.
