ORLANDO, Fla., July 3 (UPI) -- Shannon Johnson made a clutch layup to force overtime and Katie Douglas scored half of her 12 points in the final five minutes Wednesday night as the Orlando Miracle rallied for a 79-71 victory over the Indiana Fever.
The Miracle trailed by as many as 14 points with 11:14 remaining, but pulled within 62-58 when Johnson was fouled on a three-point attempt with 14 seconds left.
Johnson made just one of three free throws, but got the rebound on the final attempt and fed Douglass, who made layup with 10 seconds to go.
Indiana's Nadine Malcolm made one of two free throws at the other end and Johnson pulled down another big rebound before racing downcourt for a layup to tie it with three seconds remaining.
Nikki McCray opened the extra session with a three-point play for the Fever, but the Miracle closed the game on 16-5 run.
Adrienne Johnson gave Orlando the lead for good, 71-68 on a three-pointer at 2:40 and Nykesha Sales made four free throws in the final minutes to seal the victory.
Brooke Wyckoff had 13 points and seven assists and Adrienne Johnson finished with 12 points for the Miracle, who had six players in double figures.
Orlando shot just 41 percent from the floor but made 10 of 22 three-pointers.
Tamika Catchings scored 24 points and Malcolm added 19 for the Fever, who lost for the third time in four visits to TD Waterhouse Centre.
