SEATTLE, June 28 (UPI) -- Michelle Marciniak scored a career-high 18 points, including the game-winning jumper with less than one second remaining Thursday night, as the Seattle Storm rallied to beat the Orlando Miracle, 73-71.
After Brooke Wyckoff's jumper gave Orlando a 65-55 advantage with 6:40 remaining, Marciniak led Seattle's comeback.
She hit a jumper with 5:57 remaining to cut the Storm's deficit to eight points and later hit a pair of free throws with 2:52 to go, making it 71-66.
Lauren Jackson then took over, making a layup with 1:41 left and a three-pointer with 37 seconds to play to tie the contest at 71.
After Orlando's Shannon Johnson missed a layup with nine seconds to go, Simone Edwards grabbed the rebound and fed Marciniak, who sank a running jumper from seven feet to win the contest.
Jackson registered 17 points, Kamila Vodichkova 13 and rookie Sue Bird 12 and seven assists as Seattle won for the third time in four games to improve to 7-7.
Nykesha Sales had 15 points, Johnson 11 and eight assists, and Taj McWilliams-Franklin and Clarisse Machanguana 10 apiece for Orlando, which dropped its second straight contest after a four-game winning streak to slip to 7-5.
