San Diego 10, San Francisco 7

SAN DIEGO, June 25 (UPI) -- Barry Bonds and Jeff Kent traded shoves, homered to spark a big rally, then watched the San Francisco Giants unravel in a 10-7 loss to the San Diego Padres Tuesday night.

With the Giants trailing, 5-0, after two innings, Kent and Bonds got into an argument in the dugout. The All-Stars had to be separated after Bonds appeared to send a forearm toward Kent's throat. Moments later, Kent got into a shouting match with Manager Dusty Baker.

The dispute seemed to pump up the Giants. Bonds got San

Francisco within 5-3 with his 25th home run, and third in as

many at-bats, with a first-pitch, three-run shot to right-center off rookie Kevin Pickford in the top of the third.

It was Bonds' 592nd career homer and 69th against the Padres,

his most against any opponent.

Kent began the sixth a 448-foot blast to left-center, his 11th home run, to make it 5-4, and the Giants took a 7-5 lead in the seventh on a two-run single by Reggie Sanders and an RBI base hit by pinch hitter J.T. Snow.

But in the bottom of the seventh, the Padres batted around for the second time and rallied for five runs. Deivi Cruz plated Ryan Klesko with a one-out single and Wiki Gonzalez forged a 7-7 tie when he drove in Ron Gant with a groundout.

Julius Matos put the Padres ahead for good when he singled in

Cruz and, after Gene Kingsale's single scored Gonzalez, Matos

made it 10-7 when he crossed the plate on before Kingsale was

caught stealing second.

Rodney Myers (1-0) got the last out in the seventh and the first two in the eighth for his first win of the season. Trevor Hoffman, who gave up a game-winning homer to Bonds on Monday, got the last four outs for his 20th save.

Felix Rodriguez (2-4) was tagged for four runs and three hits

without retiring a batter in the seventh inning.

San Diego snapped a four-game losing streak against San

Francisco.
