Los Angeles 9, Boston 6

LOS ANGELES, June 23 (UPI) -- Chad Kreuter went three for three with two runs scored and two RBI and Dave Hansen had two hits and drove in three runs Sunday as the Los Angeles Dodgers completed a three-game sweep of the Boston Red Sox, 9-6.

Kreuter was two for 11 in the first eight games of Los Angeles' 13-game homestand while Hansen was batting just .200 this season. But they combined to key a big effort from the bottom half of the Dodgers' lineup as Los Angeles won for the 21st time in 29 games.

Dodgers starter Andy Ashby (4-2) had one of his poorer outings of the season, allowing five runs in 5 2/3 innings. But Los Angeles scored nine times over the first three innings and the veteran righthander pitched to the lead.

Boston starter Rolando Arrojo (4-2) was tagged for nine runs and nine hits in 2 1/3 innings.

The Red Sox got 5 2/3 scoreless innings out of Darren Oliver and Casey Fossum, but their rally fell short.
