Los Angeles 5, Boston 4

LOS ANGELES, June 22 (UPI) -- Shawn Green hit a monstrous two-run homer and Cesar Izturis and Dave Roberts had RBI singles Saturday as the Los Angeles Dodgers rallied from a three-run deficit to edge the Boston Red Sox, 5-4.

Derek Lowe (11-3) had won his last four starts and was attempting to join Curt Schilling of Arizona as baseball's only 12-game winners. But he allowed all five runs over the middle three innings and gave up six hits in seven innings.

The five runs were the most allowed by Lowe since he surrendered the same number on April 21 at Kansas City.

Rickey Henderson and Nomar Garciaparra hit third-inning home runs for the Red Sox, who fell to 3-5 on a nine-game road trip.

Paul Lo Duca reached on an infield single in the fourth before Green belted a 1-0 pitch from Lowe 446 feet over the right-center field fence. Green has 22 homers this season, with 19 coming in his last 29 games.
