Los Angeles 5, Anaheim 4

LOS ANGELES, June 16 (UPI) -- Eric Karros and Marquis Grissom hit back-to-back homers in the sixth inning and Mark Grudzielanek delivered an RBI single in the seventh Sunday as the Los Angeles Dodgers rallied for a 5-4 victory over the Anaheim Angels.

Los Angeles hit only 22 homers through its first 40 games of the season but has exploded for 49 home runs in its last 28 contests. The Dodgers belted back-to-back homers for the second straight game on Sunday to rally for their sixth straight series victory.

Anaheim had a 4-1 lead in the sixth inning, when Shawn Green hit a leadoff double against Jarrod Washburn. Karros belted a two-run homer with one out and Grissom followed with a solo shot to forge a 4-4 tie.

Pinch-hitter Dave Roberts doubled off reliever Al Levine (3-2) to open the seventh and advanced to third on Cesar Izturis' sacrifice bunt. Grudzielanek singled to left center to plate Roberts for a 5-4 edge.

Paul Quantrill recorded the first out of the eighth inning and Eric Gagne got the final five outs for his 23rd save.

Giovanni Carrara (4-2) pitched two scoreless innings to earn the victory for Los Angeles, which has won eight of its last 10 at Dodger Stadium.
