MIAMI, June 15 (UPI) -- Ben Grieve's run-scoring double in the top of the 14th inning scored Steve Cox Friday night and lifted the Tampa Bay Devil Rays to a 4-3 victory over the Florida Marlins.

Grieve hit a 3-2 pitch from Oswaldo Mairena (2-1) into left field scoring Steve Cox, who led off the inning with a ground-rules double. The win was just the ninth in 31 road games this season for the Devil Rays.

Tampa Bay trailed, 2-1, going to the ninth when Aubrey Huff singled with two outs off Florida closer Vladimir Nunez, scoring Greg Vaughn from second.

The Marlins appeared to have won the game in the 12th. With pinch runner Michael Tejera, a pitcher, on second and one out, Ramon Castro singled down the third base line. Tejera rounded third but stumbled and had to return to the base.

After Luis Castillo walked to load the bases, Esteban Yan retired Andy Fox on a groundout and induced Cliff Floyd to pop out.
