Indiana 75, Orlando 69

ORLANDO, Fla., June 11 (UPI) -- Tamika Catchings and Nikki McCray scored 20 points each Tuesday night as the Indiana Fever held on for a 75-69 victory over the Orlando Miracle, who were without leading scorer Shannon Johnson.

The Miracle were trying for their third straight win but had to play without Johnson, who averaged 21.5 points per game and is the league's reigning Player of the Week. She was not with the team due to the death of her grandmother.

The Fever had their largest lead, 44-34 with 18:16 remaining but the Miracle responded with nine straight points. Katie Douglas scored the first four points during the spurt and Nykesha Sales had the final five.

Orlando stayed within striking distance until Adrienne Johnson made a jumper to forge a 56-56 tie at 7:20. Elaine Powell added a free throw 19 seconds later to give the Miracle the lead.

The teams traded the lead twice in the next 70 seconds before McCray completed a three-point play for a 61-59 edge with 4:48 to go.

Olympia Scott-Richardson scored eight of her 15 points in the final four minutes as the Fever posted their second straight win following consecutive losses.
