Chicago 3, New England 1

FOXBORO, Mass., May 19 (UPI) -- Ante Razov recorded his second career hat trick Sunday while leading the Chicago Fire to a 3-1 MLS victory over the New England Revolution.

Scoring chances came early and often for Razov, who had a shot blocked by goalkeeper Juergen Sommer in the 29th minute.

Razov broke through in the 34th minute, beating Sommer to the far goalpost. Midfielder Kelly Gray sent a through ball to Razov, who gathered the pass and sprinted past defenders Leo Cullen and Carlos Semedo into the left side of the penalty area before blasting a left-footer past Sommer.

Razov scored again in the 54th minute, one-timing a volley from the penalty spot through Sommer's legs for his 50th career goal.

The Revolution fought back in the 64th minute when forward Taylor Twellman scored his fifth goal in four starts.
