Forrest-Mosley rematch set

NEW YORK, May 9 (UPI) -- IMG Boxing announced Thursday that Vernon Forrest will defend his WBC welterweight title against "Sugar" Shane Mosley on July 20 at Conseco Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.

Forrest finally gained some well-deserved recognition as he dominated Mosley en route to a stunningly convincing 12-round unanimous decision on Jan. 26 in New York.

"I told him after we fought I would give him a rematch," Forrest said. "I look forward to fighting him again."

Forrest (34-0, 26 KOs) earned a hard-fought decision in January, landing Mosley (38-1, 35 KOs) his first loss. In 1992, Forrest cost Mosley a berth on the Olympic team.

Mosley captured the WBC welterweight title in June 2000 with a 12-round decision over Oscar de la Hoya.
