DALLAS, April 27 (UPI) -- Jason Kreis converted a free kick early in the second half Saturday night as the Dallas Burn rallied for their third straight tie, 1-1 with the last-place Kansas City Wizards.
Kansas City grabbed the lead in the 15th minute when midfielder Chris Klein broke free for his second goal of the season. He got a pass from Preki near midfield and stormed down the right side, past midfielder Oscar Pareja. As he entered the penalty area, Klein unleashed a shot that clipped the right goalpost and trickled past goalkeeper Matt Jordan.
Dallas nearly pulled even during first-half stoppage time when defender Ryan Suarez was denied twice in rapid succession by 'keeper Tony Meola near the left post.
Kreis has scored in four consecutive games.
Just 10 minutes after the tying goal, the Wizards took a hit when midfielder Kerry Zavagnin received a red card for a high challenge on Jorge Rodriguez.
Dallas has followed a season-opening loss with a four-game unbeaten streak (1
